The Sinner, The Prophets And The God-father And it came to pass, the prophets took the sinner to seek the face of God-father. God-father asked the prophets; why have you come with this man to disturb my spirit? Prophets: we are here to intercede on his behalf. He acknowledged that he has sinned against you, not necessarily against Nigeria. Kindly forgive him, our God-father. God-father: because of these prophets with you, including your knowledge of economics, you are hereby forgiven. Go and sin no more. Sinner: my God-father, may your wish be done! That's how Nigeria works, and that's why Nigeria will continue to regress.

Though I am not a conformist, but I like reading the bible and other religious scriptures. Even those books written by philosophers, scientists, metaphysicians, etc. Each of these books, especially the Christian bible, I consider a book of wisdom. I get to know the world better each time I read a chapter of any of the books.

I briefly found myself in a Church after many years. And it was exactly at the time the Pastor was delivering his sermon. The pastor was a vibrant young man, his eloquence was remarkable. But what particularly drew my attention was the theme of his sermon – “putting the right peg in the right hole”. In summary, he argued that if you don’t do the right thing, don’t expect God to answer your prayers. In other words; “heaven helps those who help themselves”.

Forgive and Forget! We are often required to forgive our offenders and equally forget their injuries to us. Well, we can forgive and forget depending on the injury caused. If the body/flesh was injured, there is the possibility that we would forgive and forget if the injury was a genuine accident. Such as playground injuries or other injuries which were unintentional. The Mind tends to forget these types of injuries.

Lord Byron, a British Poet, once wrote; “though I love my country, I do not love my countrymen.” He didn’t love his countrymen because, in his thinking, they didn’t understand him, especially when Lady Caroline Lamb described him as “mad, bad, and dangerous to know”.

Christmas was a week today (25th December) when it was alleged that Jesus was born. But Christmas wasn’t celebrated until about 336 years after the death of Jesus, during the reign of Constantine, the Roman Empire. That means the earlier Christians didn’t know and never celebrated Christmas.

While on a visit to Johannesburg, South Africa to see a friend who transacts at Sandton city; a big argument was going on over who has more money than the other as I walked into his office. My presence kind of punctured the argument resulting to the other party leaving the premises. My host then turned to me and asked; does money talk?
